Islander Repair Services
Non-Warranty repairs:
- $50 CAD Handling fee
- Additional parts billed as needed
- Shipping not included
Warranty Repairs:
- All warranty repairs must be handled by Islander directly.
- $50 CAD handling fee
- Shipping not included

Line Removal: To best service your reel, our Build Team require line removed from the reel. Reels with line arriving at Islander for repair will be removed and discarded, and a line removal fee will be applied.
Current lead time: 10 weeks
Repair lead times vary seasonally, we recommend planning ahead!
Canadian Shipping Instructions
- Please ensure to remove your line. Reels arriving for servicing with line on will be charged a line removal fee, and line discarded. Backing may be left on the spool.
- We appreciate that you let us know your reel is coming by emailing us at repairs@islander.com. Please provide a tracking number, and any repair notes needed
- Package your items safely, securely & in a separate box than the original reel box. Islander can’t take responsibility for damage that occurs in shipping from you to us.
- Please ensure your name, contact details and return shipping address are clearly marked on the box or on an included note.
US & International Shipping Instructions
- All shipments must be prepaid by the customer
- Please make sure the package is clearly marked with “Temporary Import for Warranty/Repair/Return”. US Customers please use CUSMA/USMCA HST Code 9507.30.60.00 – Fly Fishing Reels
- Ensure the commercial value is listed at zero (or $1 if your carrier will not accept a zero value). If the commercial value is listed at more than zero and Islander is billed for additional charges, which will then in turn be billed back to the customer.
Shipping insurance is optional and the responsibility of the customer.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in additional fees, which will be billed to the customer.
