Islander reels is pleased to have Kenzie Cuthbert as a Pro-Staffer.

Kenzie began fishing at the age of 11 and has over 30 years of fishing experience, specializing in freshwater fishing with an emphasis on fly fishing. As well as having been featured on numerous national television fishing shows, he has also been the feature of many magazine articles. Kenzie is also a "Sage" field staff member and pro staff for Gibbs/Nortac. Kenzie uses only premium equipment and has a variety of boats which allow him to take advantage of an unlimited variety of fishing opportunities. This variety allows Kenzie and his clients to fish year around. With the assistance of his very capable assistant guides, large groups are easily accommodated.

Kenzie is appreciative of the delicate nature of the fishing industry and besides practicing conservation measures while fishing, he is also a strong supporter of Trout Unlimited, The Pacific Salmon Foundation and Ducks Unlimited. Kenzie spends countless hours in consultation with various government ministries who manage the fishing resources.

Kenzie and his wife Kyt own the "Cowichan River Wilderness Lodge" on the banks of the world famous Cowichan River where they entertain guests from all over the world. They also own "Kenzie's Fishing Adventures".

When not entertaining guests, Kenzie and Kyt like to spend their "down time" somewhere hot and sunny.
